California Football Academy (CFA) , was founded in 2008, and currently serves youths in the Contra Costa and Alameda County community. CFA is dedicated to youth sports and specifically to youth football. We pride ourselves in providing a fun, family atmosphere for all those who participate. Each season, CFA brings together young players and adult and junior volunteer coaches. Players learn the game of football in a wholesome, safe, structured, and fun environment. CFA considers competition healthy and instructive, while promoting the importance of participation. The CFA program was created by experienced youth and high school football coaches, passionate about teaching young athletes football fundamental and the importance of good sportsmanship, respect and teamwork.

In September 2011, we introduced our Co-ed Flag Football League for youths ages 4 - 14.

Our young athletes have the opportunity to play flag football 2 seasons each year - Fall and Spring. We have grown from only 80 player in 2011, to now 450+ players in the Spring and Fall seasons in our Oakley league. Our newly established Concord and San Ramon/Danville leagues are still growing, and we hope to increase those numbers as we continue to run an outstanding program.

Our Flag football league is made up of volunteer coaches and our wonderful, friendly CFA staff. We are always looking for ways to improve our league and rely on great communication with our parents and coaches. We are dedicated to providing a quality program, and recognize our athletes and coaches for their efforts each season. We also emphasize the importance of a good education and balancing extra-curricular activities and education. Every Spring and Fall, we give recognition to our Scholar Athletes who attain a 3.5 gpa or better during the school year. Our seasons end with Championship day, a way to recognize our athletes and coaches. Our coaches have fun too, with our Coaches vs Referee game, that takes competition to a new level!

Our creative team of coaches and staff are always thinking of ways we can keep our children active, through sports, while teaching them new skills, developing self esteem, good sportmanship, good values, and building lasting friendships. We hope to bring many new programs to CFA through our leagues, youth combines and clinics, camps, and coming in the Summer of 2016, our Flag Football Tournaments.

Join us and get in the game!
